Royal George Bridge

I would suggest also in that area, the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park right outside of Canon City. It is the world's highest suspension bridge and includes a park with many additional features and activities. Also close by is Buckskin Joe Frontier Town, an old west theme park with daily action and fun street shows. Also, a great train ride under the Royal Gorge Bridge – fares vary; please see www.royalgorgeroute.com for details.
The Cog Railway

Not to be missed is Pikes Peak. The Cog Railway, the world's highest, travels to the 14,110 ft summit running 8 trains daily. Driving to the top of Pikes Peak is also an option. Round trip is approximately 3 hours by train - a bit less driving time. Also, riding the train to the summit and biking down is a fun adventure. www.bikithikit.com
Garden of the Gods Park

www.gardenofgods.com
In the same area, Garden of the Gods Park is a must - natural rock formations with a gateway to hiking, biking and rock climbing.
Horse Bike Riding
Colorado Springs offers two options for horseback riding; totally different venues and equally enjoyable.
Academy Riding Stables (www.arsriding.com) is a spectacular way to experience a trip through the Garden of the Gods.
The Stables at the Broadmoor (www.COmtnadventure.com) features trail rides through the PikeNational Forest filled with wildlife and a truly western adventure. Both offer one hour and two hour rides – prices comparable
Adventures Out West

I definitely recommend a High Country Jeep Tour or hot air ballooning. These adventures are offered through Adventures Out West and can be customized for your individual desires.
Manitou Cliff Dwellings
www.manitousprings.org
Two attractions close together are the Native American culture of the Manitou Cliff Dwellings and the underground formations of the Cave of the Winds. Visit Manitou Springs on your way. www.ClifDwellingsMuseum.com
